Verbal report from staff providing an update on the Georgina Civic Centre

Council received the verbal report regarding an update on the Georgina Civic Centre. Construction of the Replacement Civic Centre is progressing well, with brickwork expected to be completed in the next week or two, and fill material scheduled for early October. Interior work is well underway, including drywall, painting, flooring, lighting and sprinkler installation. Over the past year, staff have been preparing for the transition to the new building through file digitization, cleanup efforts, and new policies, where required, to aid staff in working in open environment. The project remains on budget and on track with the move into the Replacement Civic Centre occurring in Q1. Demolition of the current building and landscape work is planned for late Q1, through Q2.
