Parking rules and helpful reminders for residents

Based on the Town of Georgina's Bylaw to regulate traffic and to govern and control the parking of vehicles No. 2023-0087

General parking rules for Lancaster Court:

• Park parallel to the curb, within 30cm of the curb
• Maximum street parking time is three hours
• Do not park on the road for the purpose of selling a vehicle
• Do not park on the road to wash, grease or repair a vehicle (except emergency repairs)

Do not park:

• Within 60cm of a driveway
• Within 3m of a fire hydrant
• Within 9m of an intersection
• In a position that obstructs a crosswalk
• In a way that blocks another vehicle from leaving
• Inside a cul‑de‑sac turning basin or within 15m of the dead‑end point

Winter parking restrictions:

• No overnight parking from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., Nov. 15 – April 15
• Parking is not allowed during a declared Winter Maintenance Event at any time
• Do not park in a way that interferes with snow clearing operations
• Obey all Snow Lift signs; these must be posted 8+ hours before snow removal starts
